Can we have a bit more explanation on how to install CEI please, I have tried everything I can think of and I can’t get it to work, I have CE installed and working I just can’t get it to register CEI at all

If it was that simple do you think there would be comments asking for help, how about an actual description or a tutorial, I’ve already downloaded and tried putting the files into the directory and it doesn’t work. Cobalt essentials works but I can’t get CEI to work or show at all, it doesn’t even load the script for CEI
It is that simple.
- Download the beamMP server from beammp.com
- Download the latest release of CE from Releases · prestonelam2003/CobaltEssentials · GitHub
- Download the latest release of CEI from Releases · StanleyDudek/CobaltEssentialsInterface · GitHub
- Create a folder for the beamMP server, and put it there
- Follow the server tutorial at Server Installation - BeamMP Docs for the base beammp server installation and its setup steps
- In the folder containing the beammp-server.exe, you copy/move both CE and CEI zips into
- Extract the CE zip in the same folder as the beammp_server.exe. This will create a Resources folder, containing a Server folder, containing a CobaltEssentials folder, containing several files and folders
- Extract the CEI zip in the same folder as the beammp_server.exe. This will create a Client folder inside the Resources folder, that will contain a CEI.zip. Also it will add several files to the CobaltEssentials folder.
- Start the server, check that both CE and CEI were loaded. It will look something like this:

- Finally, set yourself as owner by running the command
ce setgroup yourName owner, replacingyourNamewith your BeamMP username. - Connect to your server. If the CEI window does not already show, type
/CEIinto the chat
Theres no need to put files into folders, just extract the zips and set yourself as the owner.
I cant further help you if the issue is “it just doesnt work”
NOPE, have done all this and CEI doesn’t load, the script doesn’t load. If Cobalt essentials isn’t in the resources/server directory it doesn’t work either, can’t just put it in the directory with the server .exe. So I ask again, where and how does CEI get installed, which folder goes where? I think you need to do more testing with installs and make a video guide or something, I extract CE and CEI into the server folder and it doesn’t even load either of them, no scripts register or anything

Im pretty sure you are downloading the code, not the release, since in the releases everything is where it needs to be within the zip files. Theres no need to move CE into another folder to get it to work. If you need to do that, then you either downloaded the wrong zip or somehow extracted it in a way that omits the internal folder structure of the zip.
If the CobaltEssentials folder after extracting the zip was called CobaltEssentials-master, then you downloaded the code, not the release

my game just crashes after loading into a map, every time since i installed it.
I cant open your server ( conection failed). I have downloaded and set up the mod and it works however I cant open the in game menue ( I refure to the /CEI comand, it sais that it dont exist). I want to create a racing server
