ive searched and tried solution
same issue
I found the issue CMD prompt hangs up unless u press the ANY KEY every once in a while
came with a new version of windows CMD enables quick edit mode by default
disableing quick edit mode in cmd prompt resolves all CMD prompt hangup / pauses
uncheck quick edit mode it makes cmd pause right click top window bar hit properties
