I’ve had my server for a couple months now through connecthosting. rarely play beam, and tried to play yesterday with my friends and brother and my server is offline and the auth key is banned. i don’t think i’ve done anything at all ? my mods are paid for by me or the admins i have listed on the server. please help, thank you

thanks, also there was a person joining and leaving constantly, assuming he couldn’t run the server we left it alone. after he joined last, the server was down and the key was banned.

So I looked into this and what had happened was that there was a take down request from the owner of one of the mods on the server. Hosting paid mods on publicly accessible servers allows people to take them for free if they know how to get into BeamMP’s temporary storage. A take down request was sent on the first of January and it was actually the second takedown request served for the same mod. As there was no response to our messages the server key was banned to delist the server.
make sense. i don’t ever remember getting a first warning LOL. either way, could i remove the mod and appeal, im also not even a part of the beammp discord, i never was since i rarely join discords.
That is a really good question, so, these cases aren’t handled by the moderation team, it’s more of an administrative process @1eo can we get some feedback on this one?
either way thanks for the help and i appreciate you even telling me what the issue was. if you could let me know which mod it was i get can get rid of it and see what’s up after that. i never really read the rule book tbh i didnt know mods got that serious XD!
Yes that is correct we two do not share any discord, as such i had to send you a friend request first and waited for it to be accepted for 24 hours. With it being not accepted and there being no other way to contact you your server was taken down.
This entire case was about the paid Axle Valley map which your server was distributing with the public (:
understood. i got banned when our map was changed back to west coast usa, didnt really have any notification that i was even at risk of being banned although you did send a friend request, i never even got one. id like to go through the appeal process if there is one. the map is also removed and i just removed it from the server list as well. thanks.
That is true, your server was setup to load into the west coast map, however it was still serving the axle valley map as a mod. Unfortunately 24hr is all we give in cases of copyright infringement. And bans on the basis of these are permanent.
I have no other way to reach out to you as all a player enlists when creating a key for a server is their discord account. I tried to contact you via that for 24 hours, you didnt notice it and now there is nothing that i can do for you really.
