Cant move camera

I was driving a bus on a highway in an Italia map when suddenly the camera become fixed and I couldn’t switch the camera and change the direction of view. Free camera also doesn’t work.

Hey Driver, sorry for the large delay in a reply, this post was filed in Support general so I didn’t see it while auditing the forums!

This sounds like a BeamNG Drive issue rather than a BeamMP issue. I just checked the BeamNG Forums and the Steam troubleshooting guide and the top fix for this issue seems to be changing the version folder and letting it refresh.

So, find your 0.32 folder and rename it to 0.32_bak and then launch BeamNG. This will pull a new version folder and fix any game faults. If this fix doesn’t work for you then you’ll have to work your way through the support options for BeamNG or uninstall and reinstall the game.

terribly sorry for the revival, but do you happen to have an AMD based GPU, by any chance - out of sheer curiosity? you see, i had the same symptomps - camera getting suddenly stuck without any ability to control. i ruled out everything, and it turned out to be a memory leak. during this time, it also tried to access parts of memory that were inaccessible, and i kept getting the 0xC0000409 STATUS_STACK_BUFFER_OVERRUN and STATUS ACCESS VIOLATION error codes. i then had to purge the non-paged kernel memory pool, and that was that. i suggest you do the same more often: instead of shutting down your computer - reboot. it generally helps with memory leaks.

and i had that before OP’s post. and since beamMP is getting updated on a monthly basis - no, it cannot be a software issue, perhaps, only the drivers or the system itself. though, to be fair, i do recall an odd coincidence - i could always produce it 100% with all beamMP lua UI deleted - the chat, the playerlist and the servername - maybe did you also disable that? but nonetheless, shortly afterwards i have deleted windows and never had a problem since, and i suggest you should too, if you believe that you should own the computer, and not a multibillionaire corporation, dictating whether it is time for you to play or to struggle with a pesky memory leak.

take care
