Desynchronized position of others

Dear support,

We have the following problem:
when my friend set up a server, we found out (in a screen recording) that both of us were on a completely different position on each others game. So when I was in front of my friend, he just saw me a few hundret meters away from him. But we saw each other driving - just on a different position.
Connection and mod-downloads were working perfectly fine, whereas the server seems to be desynchronized…

I hope you are able to help us, if it is a known bug.

Thank you for your question, and apologies for the delay in reply.
There are actually a few reasons this could be happening, although, if it happens to be an error in the server config, I won’t know how to help.

You and your friend trying to fix this in BeamNG settings would be the first place I would go.
If you head to:
Options>Gameplay>Physics. and make sure
“Simplified Collision Physics” is turned off.

Also, while you’re at it, you may as well go to
Multiplayer>General and make sure
“Disable other players vehicle part config changes” is turned on.

I’m not 100% sure this will fix your issues, but it’s definitely worth a try.
If this doesn’t work, it’s possible that it’s to do with your server config and how your client is sending/receiving packets, then again, I could be totally wrong on that because as I said, I’m not an expert on the server end of things.

Let me know if these methods work, if they don’t, I can tag one of our Developers to take a look for you.
