Any time I spawn a car or change the vehicle config the steering wheel looses all its force feedback and becomes loose. only happens on beam mp and im on the latest verision of beamng and beammp
That sounds more like a BeamNG issue, can you replicate this problem in single player without launching through BeamMP?
No this never ever happens in singleplayer only in BeamMP. I once joined a server with a realistic steering mod that didn’t do this problem where I lost force feedback however any other vanilla server gives me this issue.
Interesting, let me forward this to the larger support team.
i have the same bug with t248 trusmaster
Any Fixes for it?
Add the FFB UI App and see what it displays after you loose FFB when turning the wheel
ah you gotta love microsoft haha! it’s probably GameInput acting up again…
you could (some are obvious):
A) respawn your car with Ctrl+R
B) unplug and plug it again (hard reset)
C) go to settings > controls > force feedback configuration > switch either:
- Update type to Fast or Full and vice versa or
- Enabled to ON or OFF and vice versa (for a soft reset).
you will have to do this everytime anything happens to your vehicle…
D) update your wheel drivers AND firmware
E) downgrade your wheel drivers AND firmware to previous versions (years early but depends on the age of your wheel)
F) uninstall GameInput (in Apps & Features). this feature was added a year ago and it USUALLY does more harm than good for wheel users
if this method didnt work and you need GameInput back, open your PowerShell or cmd as admin and type:
Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.GamingServices | Remove-AppxPackage -allusers
Start-Service -Name "GamingServices"
if you did run it as admin and there’s still an error, you will have to disable the GameInput Service in the services.msc
if none of these work - that’s on beammp…
And you are sure you wouldn’t like to apply for support?
this tiem i am available haha and i’d be honored o_O (unless my steps didnt help and epicly failed then i dont deserve it )
Lemme Speak to my people
thanks for the suggestions but these didn’t do it.
I agree
ok, thats crazy
as Protogen_1 have suggested, what does the UI app say? also make sure to look in the hardware tab in the settings > controls, does it detect your wheel as an FFB capable device?
