I need help to activate mods in an official beammp server

Ive tried activating but it does not work, ive seen people who could just activate all mods and it worked but nothing happend when i do it. i tried searching for answers and i found a steam user who showed how to do a in game console override but one of his links was blocked so it did not work, anyone know if theres someway i can activate them?

seriously? mods are blocked on official servers. don’t do that! search for servers hosting the mods you wanna use…

You can also make your own server, and get the ability to precisely manage with mods are used.
There is also little point in trying to enable custom modded content on server, as everyone with those mods will not be able to see it.

i see other people in the official servers with mods? the method is not patched I guess

What kind of mods?

car modifications and videogame modifications are two completely different things. first, understand the context of the discussion people are having, then deduct whether it is, indeed, a mod, downloaded most likely from a ■■■■■■ website with cheap meshlaps, or it is just a nicely set up car configuration (modded car =/= car mod, though, to be honest, i understand your confusion), in which case you should admire their config verbally in chat, otherwise proceed to make disgusted sounds and shout at the next person suspected of using a “car mod”. in beamMP, third party addons (mods) are hardcoded to be disabled - and for a good reason: CLIENT-side mods are not implemented or supported in beamMP, because: 1. for everyone to see some vehicle mod, they would have either PRE-downloaded it in advance OR downloaded it in real-time, EVERY time someone joins with ANY amount of car mods, which is in and of itself NOT safe, because it can contain viruses (just like addons in garry’s mod, which is also in lua), 2. it can simply take a lot of storage space, 3. your poor internet plan can only take so much bandwidth anyway, 4. WHERE FROM? directly from the player? like P2P? ■■■■■■■ file sharing service? yeah, sure, mate  anyway, moving on, SINCE there is no internal classification in the code which would have helped beamMP developers to actually allow certain client-side mods, such as performance tweaks, post-effects or NON-car mods, and/or unless you either know some lua or the magic of read-write permissions, no mere mortal can simply enable them. but if you read carefully, yes, you and your friend may or may not download a car mod and you will or will not be able to see your car mods on official servers. finally, consider the fact that beamMP devs are continuing to develop this multiplayer mod just out of passion (and not because they are lazy arseholes or something), and have the right to abandon this project at any moment they like (just like kissMP fr :sob:). anyway, refrain from giving any attention to people driving their imaginary r34’s and “rotaries” that have yet to exist in the game, and instead, make haste to return to your primitive tribe of pigeons and quit faffing about! :rooster:

mods can also mean moderators -_-

You don’t have to make an entire story on my small comment :joy:. The guy’s car was just a huge orange bubble. I may have been mistaken, but I remember when that happens, it’s just a mod someone’s uses. “mere mortal” come on buddy what are you saying:joy::joy::joy:. and i never said the beamMP devs are lazy or ■■■■■■■■. I love the devs for making something like this possible. “poor internet plan”?? is 1g speeds through multiple walls with wifi bad?? and the reason i said “mods” is because of the yellow bubble. you just trying to ragegbait me :joy::joy::joy::clown_face::clown_face::clown_face:
