I was just drifting on an east coast official server, and was banned for “Reason: Do not interfere with/intentionally negatively impact others’ gameplay.” Can anyone tell me why I was banned? I didn’t even know you could be banned on an official server.
Hi, that ban should only last about 5-10 minutes. This usually means you were reported for greifing other players. There is a possibility you were desynchronized from them or otherwise did not see them.
If, on your screen, you were not colliding with anyone you may need to look at your Multiplayer settings or connection. These kicks and bans are only carried out if we are provided with video proof of the violation.
Thank you for responding. If there was an issue with connection it wasn’t me, I had around 40 ping. What settings were you saying I should look at that causes desync?
Also I only saw one player, and have their user from a screenshot. Is there any way I could find the report and see the video proof?
No, we don’t retain or share logs from reports. It’s also possible that the report did not originate from that session, people file reports way later most of the time
