Problem seems to be known - cannot find a solution

Has anyone actually identified the problem and knows how to solve it? The server runs locally on my PC. Everything is set up as it should be and has been running flawlessly for several months now (always with the latest versions, of course).
Since today, I have had the problem that next to ‘Quit’ on the server it says ‘Player:?’ and ‘Ping:?’ and both my mate and I lose connection to the server after a short time. Sync doesn’t work (cars of others do not move). I have reset the server, reinstalled BeamMP and also reinstalled the game. No mods other than BeamMP are installed, and the port forwarding and firewall settings are as they should be and, above all, exactly as they have been working for months.

I keep finding reports about the problem, but somehow no solution. Can anyone say anything that really helps in Windows, or does anyone really know what the cause is?

Is the beammp launcher up to date?

Yes… As I said. Everything is up to date. Problem is still present.

Does this happen on official servers?

No, it only occurs on my own server. I have now discovered that the problem occurs when I am streaming and OBS (Open Broadcast Software) is running. It also occurs when OBS is running but the stream is not and no recording is taking place. Perhaps the recording of the game by OBS has something to do with it. Something seems to have changed somewhere. Perhaps this information will also help others to identify the problem.

I am really interested in fixing this problem. I’m not the only one who streams or records the game.

I’m reasonably good at tinkering with things on the PC and programming minor things with the help of ChatGPT, but unfortunately, it’s not enough to understand or recognise the depths of different programmes and their interrelationships.

But as I said, maybe this will put someone on the right track. I would be incredibly happy if it did.

Could you try starting the BeamMP launcher and server as admin?

I’ve already tried that. It’s the same thing. It even works when I simply close OBS and reconnect to the server. Then it works. So I don’t even have to restart the server or BeamMP.
