Hi guys, this is an initial release. I’m open to suggestions and feedback. Let’s roll.
hey! i like the idea a lot,i got an suggestion,it would be nice if you can prevent someone from watching you or disable it(tabbing onto others) for the whole server with commands
What are some real world use cases for this?
In some hide and seek,or cop&robber scenario I guess, which you shouldn’t be peeping other’s info/location
I’ll happily implement this if someone who owns a server with a few players requests it
so how do I use it on a beammp server, as soon as I join the mod will disable itself and wont activate until I leave?
use parralel mods u need to have under 10 for it to work or you will have to keep activating it untill u get to it
@boiplayt I’m using it on my server with 13 mods.
The spectate UI only shows when there’s 2 or more players, otherwise it takes up screen place.
If you’re spectating someone else, it will not show you on the spectator list.
If those two issues are not what you’re facing let me know, there’s a small chance the latest Beam.NG update broke something.
Help me replicate any issues and I’ll fix them promptly
you have the mod included in ur server/preinstalled in your server and people have to install it?
if you do people are required to install it so you bypass the paralell mod/illegal vehicle mod that happens with vehicles that are mods, meaning vehicle mods are there too if they are on the mod list there
btw, look into your code and try to code a extra piece for the character (spectator) if it doesent show up with the current code you have
good luck
or, add a little x at the corner for going back to your car/character and it will fix the issue altogether
because this is a bit confusing i dont know if you have implemented a way to exit the spectator mode sadly
You’re clearly confused. It’s on my server and people don’t have to install anything, they just have to add it to the UI which isn’t installing.
your ui is a mod right? that mod you need to have in your server mods so that it works for others
in dumb terms, mods that are not included in the mod list of the server are classified as ‘illegal’ which means something like unauthorized mods on the server
It’s part of the server mods and is installed automatically upon joining the server. Did you read the instructions? There is no illegal anything. BeamMP removes illegal mods anyway, this is a non issue
so like what was the actual problem? this got a bit confusing tbh
@boiplayt Are you trolling?
where is that folder, is it only if you have a server?
Yes, you will need to tell the server owner to add it, then you can add it to your UI. This is the only way as this is how mods work with BeamMP.
Thats annoying as I don’t have my own server, maybe one day it could be implemented into official beammp servers.
