Hi, I made a BeamMP server a while back for me and maybe 3 friends to race around. But the vision lag (on someone’s screen they will be side by side, but the other person will maybe not even be next to them at times) has just gotten so bad for some reason. Is there a specific cause to this problem? is it how many mods that are in the server or maybe Port forwarding is wrong? Is there anything to make it so that we know where each other are, rather than having to ask the other person if we are clear for them? Thanks in advance if you respond!
This kind of latency is commonly referred to as “desynch” where the local versions of your games are not synchronized. Unfortunately what this usually means is that either one of your friends has a bad internet connection or your internet connection isn’t strong enough to host a server. See if anyone you are playing with has a really high ping, you can try picking up a server with one of are partnered providers found in Server Hosting - BeamMP Some of them, like PedalHost, are exceptionally cheap.
I have good internet so i have a feeling it’s either one of their connections or the fact that we are all separated by about 5 states.
That’s a good reason to look into a remote server host, you can get something that is more central to all of you instead of running a home brew from one end of the scale and making the farthest away friend sad.
