The reason is because as of 2025 currently as of this post Microsoft is taking a turn for the absolute worst in terms of control freak crud. They are going above and beyond in being the worst kind of software manufacturer or whatever… they are holding your data hostage and using it to train AI. I feel like every single person should be moving away from Microsoft as fast as possible within reason. Anyone that agrees with this click the vote button.
The BeamMP launcher and server both support linux. Together with BeamNG’s linux version, you can play BeamMP fully native on linux. Most BeamMP servers already run on linux, including the official servers.

Yeah thank you for letting me know. I’m probably going to be a future user of Linux. And I feel like a lot of people behind me are going to start using Linux mainly because Windows is literally destroying my capacity and hogging my system TO AN UNGODLY LEVEL for its ai without my consent at this point. Expect a huge influx of users having trouble from switching to linux
