BeamMP On Steamdeck?

As the title says, I’d like to find out if it’s possible to play BeamMP on a Steamdeck and how to go about that if possible. I’m pretty new to the console, so any help would be appreciated!

Technically possible via wine or proton. Not too sure how to proceed though as I do not currently use Linux.

EDIT: beamMP has gone native! works ONLY on non-steamOS distro’s (steamOS is on read-only FS, therefore compiling native beamMP is NOT recommended on steamOS) and ONLY in X11 desktop mode (e.g. KDE). beamNG was NOT coded for wayland. my recommendation: cachyOS handheld edition, bazzite or endeavourOS.

another easy way I figured out is just to install windows on my steamdeck that replaces the linux, worked for me
